D Dubs Reads
I had seen the movie, I had listened to Jefferson Airplane, I had bought a caterpillar poster and some tie dyes. But I had never read Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass until a few days ago. Needless to say, I was blown away. For anyone who hasn’t read the book, but has seen the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland, give the book a read immediately! It’s a quick read, but filled with hidden meaning if you take the time to look further than what’s on the page..
The Disney movie actually meshes together the two stories. Through the Looking Glass is a great story on its own. Incorporating chess into a nonsensical plot was a great way to move Alice from adventure to adventure. This one definitely comes highly recommended. I can’t believe I hadn’t read it sooner! I will definitely be checking it out again soon.
